About

Hi, I'm Sam, the voice behind Sammy Says. Born in Singapore and raised in Malaysia, I moved to Melbourne to further my studies and now live and work in Melbourne with my husband, Steve.

I always crave for Malaysian food and though it's not hard to come by in Melbourne, a simple Char Koay Teow will cost in excess of $10 and I couldn't justify the price. So I started recreating my family recipes to save money and ease my homesick heart.

I'm one of the laziest person you could meet, so the recipes here are mostly simple with everyday ingredients for a meal at the comfort of your home. I hope you find something you like!
